Expedition 8.5 is also the first browser-based project management
solution for construction to incorporate a safety module.

Philadelphia, PA, September 4, 2002 – The latest release of Primavera Expedition, the leading project controls and contract management solution for architecture, engineering, and construction projects, now supports Oracle databases, in addition to Sybase. Primavera Expedition 8.5 enhances the tools and information currently available with additional modules now accessible via a browser interface and several new product features.

  •         Payment Requisition Clearinghouse Module
    General contractors save time with the payment requisition clearinghouse by streamlining the entire payment process online. Subcontractors are able to submit and negotiate progress payments through a secure website. Expedition also helps general contractors comply with prompt payment laws by accelerating the speed of payments within the entire payment chain.

  •         Meeting Minutes Module
    Team members can now access meeting minutes through a browser-based interface via a user name/password from any computer. Expedition also improves project communication by providing the ability to email documents, such as daily reports, to team members who don’t have access to Expedition.

  •         Safety Module
    This industry-first module facilitates the recording of all safety-related information.

    General contractors can access this information through a browser-based interface to track and print out health reports, safety forms, and other health-related documents directly on industry-compliant forms.
