New versions of ArchT available for AutoCAD 2008, AcceliCAD and IntelliCAD

July 13, 2007 -- Autodsys would like to introduce the most significant release of  ArchT in almost 10 years.  Not since 1998 when ArchT was first released for IntelliCAD has there been a version with this kind of impact.  Now for the first time the IntelliCAD version of ArchT is similar in capability to the AutoCAD version.  Coupled with AcceliCAD it provides a low-cost alternative that is DWG compatible and can be used along-side or in place of AutoCAD.

AcceliCAD is the new CAD platform from Autodsys that includes all of the features you have come to expect: DWG file format, Lisp support, .shx fonts, .pat hatch patterns, .mnu menus, .stb and .ctb print styles, model space/paper space, xref's, layouts, and commands that work exactly the same as AutoCAD.  The difference?  AcceliCAD is 1/10th the price!

AcceliCAD also includes features that AutoCAD does not including floating prompt menus and dimension-driven editing, as well as bonus features such as quick dimensions, layer management, block tools, and text tools. For more information on AcceliCAD and to see a comparison with AutoCAD please go to

New features added to ArchT for AcceliCAD & IntelliCAD that were previously only available in the AutoCAD version:
  • 2D Projector - 3D views can now be mapped to a 2D plane.
  • Sections - sections can now be created as a 2D projection or a viewport
  • Elevations - elevations can now be created as a 2D projection or a viewport
  • Rendering materials applied via style if you are using AcceliCAD or IntelliCAD Pro Plus.
Other features added with the 2007 version of ArchT
  • Styles toolbar for easily adding or changing ArchT objects
  • Curtain walls
  • Mansard roofs
  • Tapered walls
  • Openings that can overlap more than one wall
  • Double-click editing
  • Column-width Word wrap for keynotes
Features added with the 2008 version of ArchT Includes support for AutoCAD 2008 and the edition of multi-level functionality to the styles toolbar.  This enhancement allows you to easily see what level an object is on and change multiple objects to a different level.  Bug fixes include wall poches, ceiling grids, and the 2D projector
