CAESAREA, Israel — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 5, 2017 — Mazor Robotics Ltd. (TASE: MZOR; NASDAQGM: MZOR), a pioneer and a leader in the field of surgical guidance systems, announced today that driven by the strength in Mazor X system sales and increased procedure volume, the Company expects to report record first quarter revenue of approximately $11.5 million. During the first quarter the Company received purchase orders for six Mazor X systems in the U.S., including two trade-in orders from customers who had previously purchased Renaissance systems. In addition, it received a purchase order for a Renaissance brain module upgrade in the international market. In the year-ago first quarter, the Company reported revenue of $6.4 million and received purchase orders for five Renaissance systems.

The first quarter’s results bring the total number of Mazor X systems orders since we began its sale in the second half of 2016 to 40 systems. Mazor ended the first quarter with a backlog of 14 Mazor X systems and the Company expects to deliver these systems in 2017. The Company ended 2016 with a total order backlog of 21 Mazor X systems.
