Zeepro partnered with Microsoft on March 24th to showcase the Zeepro app in Santa Clara, Microsoft's biggest Silicon Valley retail store. The demo session was a unique experience for kids and teens to better understand how easy and playful 3D printing can really be. Through collaborative group work and interaction with the Zeepro app, it informed students what 3D printing is, the basic mechanics of a 3D printer, how to design an actual 3D print model. By seeing an actual 3D printer – the Zim – in action, the students had a chance to be in the shoes of a 3D print artist!
Philippe Guglielmetti, CEO, says, "Executing a simple process of 3D printing and making 3D creations accessible for our children is one of Zeepro's missions. We are glad to have found a partner like Microsoft that shares this vision, and are aiming to renew the Zeepro Academy demo at their stores."
Zeepro, based in San Francisco and VC backed, is an innovative start-up that has a unique approach: Use 3D printing technology to easily share objects with friends from a smartphone, tablet, or desktop. In September 2013, Zeepro was the first to offer an embedded camera into a smart connected 3D printer and the first to give 3D printers user-control directly from smartphones and tablets.
