Kyocera Wireless 200 Module Powers TechnoCom's First CDMA Solution for Fleet Resource Management and Asset Tracking

San Diego, December 9, 2003 -- Kyocera Wireless Corp., a leading manufacturer of CDMA wirelessdevices, and wireless location leader TechnoCom Corporation today announced the availability of TechnoCom's first CDMA modem application for its LMU (Location Messaging Unit). The new solution incorporates the Kyocera 200 Module to equip customers around the world with asset tracking and fleet resource management capabilities using CDMA networks.

The Kyocera 200 Module enables TechnoCom to deliver its Fleet Resource Management Solutions to a broader global market looking to cost-effectively add location applications to mobile productivity solutions. System integrators, service providers and government customers utilizing CDMA networks, will now be able to access TechnoCom's highly flexible capabilities.

"The Kyocera 200 Module allows TechnoCom to leverage Kyocera's global carrier relationships and specialization in CDMA communications to bring its first CDMA-based solution to market," said Dean Fledderjohn, general manager of the M2M business group at Kyocera Wireless Corp. "By working with an industry leader such as TechnoCom, we know that we are partnering with an organization that can expand CDMA wireless location capabilities and services to an international level."

The LMU includes TechnoCom's Programmable Event Generator(TM) (PEG(TM)) application allowing users to smartly manage and track fleet vehicles. PEG enables an LMU to monitor its own location, along with vehicular conditions, and proactively report event-driven location alerts and messages. As business needs change, fleets are able to reprogram LMUs over-the-air, at any time. PEG also supports store and forward messaging, guaranteed messaging, and data logging.

"TechnoCom is excited to partner with Kyocera, a leader of CDMA wireless devices, to enhance its Fleet Resource Management Solutions," said Masoud Motamedi, President of TechnoCom. "News about the incorporation of the Kyocera CDMA modem has been met with tremendous interest, including some large orders in Latin America and Canada."
