Trimble introduced Trimble Business Center-Heavy Construction Edition (HCE) version 2.0 with new Data Preparation and Takeoff Modules. This latest software version offers specialized tools for professionals involved in quantities takeoff, bid preparation and estimation; data preparation; and transfer of data to and from field crews and machine control systems.

Autodesk, Inc. announced the availability of the 2011 AutoCAD OEM development platform, which provides tools to build custom AutoCAD software-based products for specific markets and extend design information to users outside the traditional CAD industry. Through an agreement with Autodesk, Tech Soft 3D will become the distributor for AutoCAD OEM in the United States and Canada.

Eagle Point Software Corporation announced the release of the 2011 version of LANDCADD for Revit. Updates to LANDCADD for Revit take advantage of new functionality in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2011 software, providing users with improved modeling capacity that will promote higher adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
