MAXON and Vizrt Announce New Integration Between Cinema 4D and Viz Artist

CINEWARE Allows for Streamlined 3D Design Workflow Via Native CINEMA 4D File Import into Viz Artist; Demos During the 2014 NAB Show at Vizrt Booth #SL 2419

FRIEDRICHSDORF, Germany — (BUSINESS WIRE) — April 3, 2014MAXON, leading developer of professional 3D software solutions for modeling, painting, animation and rendering solutions, today announced a new co-development with Vizrt, a leading provider of content production systems, to bring a new level of integration between its powerful CINEMA 4D application and the Vizrt real-time modeling and animation solution – Viz Artist. The streamlined workflow allows CINEMA 4D projects to be directly imported into Viz Artist through MAXON’s CINEWARE technology, a live 3D exchange that provides a bridge between the two applications.

[Editors’ Note: Vizrt will be showing the integrated solution at its exhibitor booth #SL 2419 during the NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 7-10, 2014.]

One of the major benefits of this new integration for designers is the ability to natively import CINEMA 4D projects directly into Viz Artist. Assets are immediately visible and can be utilized in on-air-mode. Both the object and container properties such as position and scaling are updated automatically.

“This is the most complete import of geometries, lights and animation into Viz Artist and Viz Engine from any 3D modeling package,” explains Gerhard Lang, Chief Engineering Officer at Vizrt. “3D objects are imported either as their direct primitive object counterpart in Viz Artist or as meshes.”

“As a manufacturer dedicated to developing robust 3D solutions for the broadcast market, we are very excited to partner with one of the most renowned and innovative players in this industry,” said Oliver Meiseberg, product manager at MAXON Computer GmbH. “Our collaboration with the teams at Vizrt was exceptionally efficient, and we are very excited to deliver a ground-breaking new workflow experience to Vizrt artists with the new live link to CINEMA 4D.”
