The Autodesk® Inventor® Tolerance Analysis 2020 & 2020.1 release notes.
July 2019
Autodesk®, Inc.
This is an update for Inventor Tolerance Analysis 2020.1. This update is compatible with Inventor 2020 and Inventor 2019.1. One install covers both versions.
These release notes contain important information about this release.
Fixed Issues in 2020.1
- Most geometry editing operations are now disabled when the Tolerance Analysis environment is active because geometry edits can cause a crash. The preferred workflow is to exit the environment before making changes to the CAD model. (INVGEN-29588)
- Stackup data can be marked as invalid if two copies of an assembly are opened in the same session. (INVGEN-30304)
- Tolerance Analysis 2020.1 can be installed on Inventor 2019 RTM with no installation error. (INVGEN-28254)
- Preview boxes are no longer missing when creating tube and pipe run. (INVGEN-27525)
Summary of Known Issues in 2020.1
Fixed Issues in 2020
-
To avoid errors, the ability to activate a different Level of Detail in an assembly is disabled in the Tolerance Analysis environment. (INVGEN-24733)
-
Reports use the date and time format selected in Windows. (INVGEN-22321)
-
Improved support for editing a stackup in an assembly with unresolved components. (INVGEN-22069)
-
Fixed some instances of untranslated text in the user interface.
Summary of Known Issues in 2020
- The default Inventor context menu isn't available in the Inventor Tolerance Analysis environment.
- Keyboard input for the mini-toolbar isn't supported.
- When you select a curve to define a direction, the direction is interpreted as the Z axis. Selecting a different direction has no effect. No message displays to indicate the issue.
- Stackup analysis data may become unusable if you:
- Create a stackup in an assembly.
- Exit the Tolerance Analysis environment and continue to work on the assembly.
- Delete a component or feature that was used in the stackup.
- Re-enter the Tolerance Analysis environment.
- Entering the Tolerance Analysis environment causes the document to require a save. (INVGEN-23957)
- A stackup dimension isn't draggable during in-place edit of a component. (INVGEN-24742)
- Graphical dimensions created by Tolerance Analysis may remain visible if you Undo the operation of exiting the Tolerance Analysis environment. A known workaround is to close and then re-open the document. (INVGEN-24724)
