BuildNet Unveils "BuildNet Advantage," New Low-Cost Software System for Builders
January 16 BuildNet, a leading provider of supply chain-wide information synchronization for the annual $800 billion U.S. construction industry, announced the release of BuildNet Advantage, a new PC-based "back office'' software solution for the construction community.
BuildNet Advantage addresses the business and organizational needs of small-to-midsize builders, as well as light commercial contractors, subcontractors, and remodelers.
BuildNet Advantage was developed with direction and guidance from members of the construction community. It offers a wide range of integrated business features like job costing and estimating, project management, and accounting and budgeting.
BuildNet's objective is to be the business-to-business e-commerce solution for the residential construction industry. On February 6th, BuildNet announced the debut of its new product, BuildNet Express, a collection of web-based job management tools that include project management, collaboration, procurement, and bid management, and on February 9th, the availability of its BuildNet Express job management tools on BlackBerry Wireless Handheld developed by Research In Motion Limited (RIM).
